I started stringing stories together at the age of 7, but it wasn't until my 8th-grade teacher secretly entered my scribbles into a contest

(and I won) that I realized, "Hmm, I might be good at this."

Luckily, I've since graduated from middle-school gold stars and built a full-fledged career in content.
